New York Murder
United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson

The killing of the CEO of this major health care company yesterday was well planned. From a profiling standpoint he would be considered an (organized type). Although he was a little sloppy in his escape. I would not call him a professional hit man. The reason I say this is a professional hit man would have covered his face, wearing glasses he did not, not leave trace evidence behind. The killer left his coffee cup, cookie wrappers behind where the investigators will be able to acquire DNA and possible fingerprints. He also stood outside the hotel for a long period of time waiting for the CEO to come out. There are cameras everywhere, the killer had to know this. Not the MO of a true professional hit man.

The man who tried to kill Donald Trump was not a professional hit man. He planned his attack well in advance and carried it out. My question is how this killer knew what hotel the CEO was staying at, what his itinerary was, where he was going and at what time. This was information that had to be given to him or he or someone else was involved inside the company at some level to have this information.

There are three reasons for a murder of this type, money, revenge, sex. It would appear to me this was a revenge killing. The reasons could be many such as, someone close to the murderer was denied health care and died or is suffering from some illness because of lack of medical coverage. Someone lost money on a stock purchase. Their company was being investigated by the DOJ. Many of the people at the top of this company starting with the CEO were being investigated for insider trading they sold their stock before this information was released to the public and many of them made millions. Many of their investors lost millions.

The investigators and profilers will start with Victimology. One of the five phases of criminal profiling.

Victimology is the scientific study of crime victims. It includes the study of the relationship between victim and offender, the consequences and effects of being victimized, and the characteristics of a particular criminal's victim or victims. Victimology also studies the psychological effects on victims, the interactions between victims and the criminal justice system, and the connections between victims and other social groups and institutions (FBI BAU). Tracing the CEO past behavior, friends, threats received, who he was involved with. The investigators will work backwards digging into Brian Thompson past.

New York's investigators are among the best of the best. They will find the man responsible for this cold-blooded murderer.
